Promotional video is a tried and tested means not only to reach your market but to foster relationships. It lets viewers get an authentic, positive and tangible sense of the kind of benefit your product, service or course has to offer. It allows you to focus on supplying your audience with the kind of insight which translates into compelling calls to action.
Client Case Study
Glasgow School of Art is a pioneering and internationally renowned organisation. Its School of Simulation and Visualisation commissioned Scotvis to produce a series of short videos which promoted their one year post graduate masters degree courses to prospective students.
The videos set out to convey the creative and academic flavour of the courses, along with a strong sense of what it is like being a post grad student at Glasgow School of Art. Contributors to the project included students, teaching and management staff, with contextual footage filmed on campus and at the annual post graduate degree show.
Key Processes
SimVis is a very busy working environment with a largely open plan design. We worked closely with management staff to ensure there was no disruption to learning activities during interviews and took a fly-on-the-wall approach to gathering contextual footage. A significant element of the edit process was seamlessly distilling the interview footage down to the core points Simvis wanted to express - a complex process in which we have significant expertise.
